I am currently a Assistant Professor in the Geography Department at the University of Northern Iowa.

• Applications of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to environmental research
• I am an FAA certified Remote Pilot (Part 107)
• Structure-from-motion and close-range photogrammetry
• Fluvial geomorphology
• Remote sensing of rivers
• River restoration
• Open source software and hardware for remote sensing and environmental monitoring
